Inaugural Youth Prosecutor Academy

Introducing the Youth Prosecutor Academy

It really opened my eyes to different careers in law and allowed me to be more open minded. This program also connected me to so many like-minded peers who I hope to become close friends with. You guys were also incredibly welcoming and supportive of all the students there, and it did not go unnoticed! Last week was a definitely a highlight of my summer and I look forward to attending more EEYP events and seeing you guys again!

The Expose Excellence Youth Program (EEYP) proudly launched its newest summer initiative—the Youth Prosecutor Academy—welcoming an inaugural class of bright, motivated students eager to explore the world of law and justice.

Throughout the week, students heard from assistant district attorneys across a variety of divisions—including Felony, Juvenile, Civil Rights, Mental Health, and more—gaining valuable insight into the many facets of prosecution. Each session, led by experienced attorneys and staff, offered real-world knowledge and career exposure.

The week concluded with a spirited mock trial, where participants brought the courtroom to life using characters from Snow White, The State of Texas vs. Queen Grimhilde. This creative twist added fun and imagination to an already empowering experience, allowing students to demonstrate their understanding of legal roles, critical thinking, and public speaking.

The Youth Prosecutor Academy is more than just a program—it’s a space where young minds are inspired to lead, think critically, and pursue excellence. As one of EEYP’s most dynamic new offerings, it reflects our mission to expose youth to meaningful opportunities that build skills, character, and confidence.

This is what excellence looks like—and we’re just getting started.
